♥️ A Vessel of the Heart 💞 ✨ 💫
by Winnie
Limbs like autumn leaves, they fall,
Brittle bones, once standing tall.
Eyes that once were fierce with light,
Now dim, embrace the endless night.
Flesh, once firm, now yields to time,
A tapestry of age and grime.
Heart beats slow, the pulse does wane,
In decay, we find life’s gain.
For in each crack and fraying seam,
Lies the truth of what has been.
A body, though it falls apart,
Is but the vessel of the heart.
